Tono Miakoda

Chairman

Tono is a member of both the US Sailing Association and the American Sailing Association. Tono holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance with a Minor in Business Administration. After a motorcycle accident in 1998, Tono was left with limited strength and mobility in his upper body. He was unable to perform many of the recreational activities that he once loved. His passion for boating led him to the amazing world of Sailing. After researching and concluding that the accessibility of disabled sailing programs in the state of New Jersey was extremely limited. He and his wife decided to incorporate an accessible community sailing program that would benefit the entire community including seniors, the disadvantaged, and both children and adults with disability
